JOB TITLE: Technical Sales

This is a full-time position, working 1st shift.

Job Skills/Requirements: This position is responsible for the sales and marketing programs for our “Tooling” and “Sheffield” gage product lines. This person is responsible for the generation of responses to RFQ’s, pricing requests, general customer correspondence on both lines. In addition, this person will make periodic customer visits maintaining strong relationships with our key accounts. Due to the nature of these product lines technical knowledge of gages and gaging systems will be a critical element in understanding the needs of our customers and insuring long term relationships. This position has regular interaction with our manufacturing personnel and must have the ability to communicate our customer’s designs and expectations to our manufacturing staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Effectively communicate and interact with customers.
  2. Develop plans to increase market share.
  3. Maintain quote backlog and monitor quote “hit rate”.
  4. Assist the purchasing department on outsourced or purchased items, including delivery lead times.
  5. Willingness to support all elements PG&T management goals.
  6. Travel as required to customer sites, sales meetings, exhibits, etc.
  7. Assist in preparing advertising and promotional materials and activities.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide training for product.
  2. Supervise contract administration and customer satisfaction.
  3. Promote quality and integrity within the organization and with customers.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  1. Strong organizational skills.
  2. Knowledge of dimensional gaging products including electronic and air gaging applications desirable.
  3. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  4. Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  5. Must be able to read blueprints.
  6. Strong math skills,
  7. Ability to make presentations to a wide variety of customer base.
  8. Proficient in computer software including AutoCAD is desirable.

 

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Working knowledge of dimensional gaging /measurement experience.
  2. Two years inside and/or outside sales experience.
  3. Knowledge of machining and/or engineering practices desirable.

JOB TITLE: Wire EDM and Waterjet Operator

Reports to: Shop foreman
Exemption Status: non exempt
Date: 7/29/2016

This is a full-time position, working 1st shift.

JOB SUMMARY:

The operator is responsible for managing and overseeing maintenance of the machines and the programming, setup and operation of the wire EDM and the waterjet. This job includes, manual machining and part inspection during the course of multiple simultaneous projects. This person works directly with the Shop foreman and inspection. The right candidate will have experience not only with programming and setting up the machines but also with project planning. Blueprint reading and some cad experience is necessary. Other duties as directed.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Must be organized, detailed oriented and be able to work with all levels of plant personnel.
  • Must understand and be comfortable with G-code and computers.
  • Must have manual machining skills and be able to program a Prototrak.
  • A complete set of personal machinist tools is needed to complete the job.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires a 3 to 5 years’ experience programming, and setting up and running a wire machine and/or a waterjet.

The job entails manufacturing and repairing gages. The chosen interviewee will be detail oriented, able to hold tight tolerances, have a good eye for aesthetics, will be self-motivated and a quick thinker.

The applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years experience in a machine shop environment is vital. There is probationary period of 90 days. Drug and background checks are mandatory.

Local high precision gage company has a position available for a CNC/Manual lathe operator.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • The right candidate will have CNC lathe and manual lathe experience
  • Candidate must be able to perform their own setups and have G-Code experience
  • Operator will be operating a Hass CNC Lathe and other manual lathes
  • A complete set of personal machinist tools is needed to complete the job

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of four years experience is preferred
  • Previous work with Conversational is a plus

The job entails providing support and assistance to Railroad Team Leader and Shop Foreman, along with supporting the toolmakers. General machinist skills greater than competency level are a requirement.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Applicant must be proficient on manual lathes, manual mills and surface grinders
  • The right candidate must have manual machining skills and be able to program a Prototrak
  • Knowledge of laser marking equipment, cnc equipment, and waterjet or wire EDM machines would be an asset
  • Prior programming experience is a plus
  • Must be able to work from blue prints coupled with verbal instruction
  • A complete set of personal machinist tools is needed to complete the job
