Job Title: Inspector/Quality Control/Calibration Technician
Reports to: President
Exemption Status: non exempt
Date: 5/14/2020
This is a full-time position, working 1st shift.

Job Skills/Requirements:
(Major requirements, skills, desired qualifications and/or experience, and education) 3-5 years experience in metrology, dimensional inspection. Candidate must be meticulous, accurate and familiar with industry standards. Candidate should be able to work independently and have willingness and ability to work cooperatively in collaboration with others. Qualified candidate should also have the ability to multi-task, work within deadlines and prepare, examine and analyze quality records. Expertise REQUIRED to read blueprints. Expertise in word, excel are REQUIRED. Must be knowledgeable in algebra, trigonometry and measurement sciences. Some travel may be required.

This job requires a broad background because the tasks include:

  • Compile calibration reports
  • Issue certifications
  • ISO 900: 2015 quality program co-coordinator
  • Maintain metrology equipment and work area
  • Interact with customers
  • Prepare quotes for inspection services
  • Analyze area operations & trends
  • Other tasks as assigned or needed

Successful candidates must be professional, self-motivated and willing to learn and adapt to the rapidly changing needs of the organization. As the Quality Inspector, you will execute across all manufacturing functions of the company and communicate directly with the President of the company.

This is a job that is critical to overall operations.

Job Title: Wire EDM/Machinist and Waterjet Operator
Reports to: Shop foreman
Exemption Status: non exempt

This is a full-time position, working 1st shift.

Job Summary:
The operator is responsible for managing and overseeing maintenance of the machines and the programming, setup and operation of the wire EDM and the waterjet. This job includes, manual machining and part inspection during the course of multiple simultaneous projects. This person works directly with the Shop foreman and inspection. The right candidate will have experience not only with programming and setting up the machines but also with project planning. Blueprint reading and some cad experience is necessary. Other duties as directed. Some travel may be required.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must be organized, detailed oriented and be able to work with all levels of plant personnel.
  • Must understand and be comfortable with G-code and computers.
  • Must have manual machining skills and be able to program a Prototrak.
  • A complete set of personal machinist tools is needed to complete the job.

Training and Experience:

  • Requires a 3 to 5 years’ experience programming, and setting up and running a wire machine and/or a waterjet.
  • Esprit software & AutoCAD experience

The job entails manufacturing and repairing gages. The chosen interviewee will be detail oriented, able to hold tight tolerances, have a good eye for aesthetics, will be self-motivated and a quick thinker.

Local high precision gage company has a position available for a CNC/Manual machinist/toolmaker. Some travel may be required.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • The right candidate will have CNC lathe and manual machine experience
  • Candidate must be able to perform their own setups and have G-Code experience
  • A complete set of personal machinist tools is needed to complete the job

Training and Experience:

A minimum of 5 years experience is preferred. Previous work with Conversational is a plus.

Job Summary:
The job entails providing support and assistance to Railroad Team Leader and Shop Foreman, along with supporting the toolmakers. General machinist skills greater than competency level are a requirement. Some travel may be required.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Applicant must be proficient on manual lathes, manual mills and surface grinders
  • The right candidate must have manual machining skills and be able to program a Prototrak
  • Knowledge of laser marking equipment, CNC equipment, and waterjet or wire EDM machines would be an asset
  • Esprit software & AutoCAD desired
  • Prior programming experience is a plus
  • Must be able to work from blue prints coupled with verbal instruction
  • A complete set of personal machinist tools is needed to complete the job
